All these drivers have a connection with each other, in which, they all drove the RYR Havoline 28. R. Gordon, Speed and Irvan all split the driving duties the remainder of the 1993 season. Irvan won twice.
In 1994, Irvan won 3 times, was injured in a crash and Kenny Wallace took over the rest of the season.
In 1995, while Irvan was still recovering Dale Jarrett took over at Pocono, and won a Pocono. Irvan returned for three races in the #88.
In 1996, Irvan switched back to the 28, and won twice.
In 1997, Irvan won Michigan at the track he almost died on three years earlier. At the end on 1997, he left to join MB2 Motorsports.
In 1998 and 1999, Kenny Irwin took over, but failed to find victory lane.

From 2000 - 2002, Ricky Rudd was in command of the 28, he won twice in 2001 and once again in 2002.
At the end of that season there was a new driver and new car number.
