EXC will make history on Saturday night, May 31st. They will become the first MMA organization to be featured on one of the major networks in prime time when they begin their relationship with CBS.

The fight card is stacked with a wide range of talents. The main event features Kimbo Slice, American Gladiator Gina Carano returns to the cage and the EXC Middleweight championship will be on the line as well.

Kimbo vs. Thompson, Okay this fight won't get out of round 1. I think Thompson striking is more technical than Kimbo's. But I think Kimbo is stronger than Thompson. I'll take Kimbo Slice via TKO in Round 1, but I wouldn't be shock if it goes the other way.

Good thing they pulled out a big show, because they needed one. The deck's stacked against them, what with the CBS boss calling the deal a mistake earlier in the week. They're going to have to draw some big-time ratings to prove that MMA can work on primetime network TV.

Phil Baroni vs. Joey Villasenor- Vilsanor gets the W, Baroni came out with all the flash and cockiness and got tore up..
Brett Rogers vs. Jon Murphy- Rogers gets the W

wow what a showing with the womens matchup, Gina Carrano comes away with the win, she hardly trained and tore kaitlin young up at the end of round 2 the match was stopped..

round 3- even round, both are bloody, smith gets a thumb to the eye and the match is called because the doctor was worried about smiths eye, wish this couldve contiued..lawler just got a freebie to retain his belt..

Kimbo Slice vs. James Thompson

ROUND 1- Even Round, both are strong as hell
ROUND 2- Kimbo tears Thompson up Early but makes some rookie mistakes on submission holds, thompson finishes the round strong with continous elbows to the head, Kimbo was lucky time got him out of the round
ROUND 3- KIMBO throws nasty blows to thompsons ear and thompson gets bloodied up and KO'd, the match was stopped and slice gets the win

this was an amazing match, most of it was on the ground but Kimbo still got devastating punches in, toughest yet for Kimbo..wow

Kimbo Slice still undefeated proved hes not only a brawler but a complete MMA fighter!!

Props to Elite-XC and CBS, this was a great premiere event..

Sports thought of the Elite-XC show: "The CBS folks ought to take a look at the WEC card on the cable network Versus on Sunday to see how an MMA show is supposed to be put together. They’ll learn from watching that show how to introduce the viewers to the fighters but not drag the show on like a book that goes on 200 pages too long... Hopefully, CBS didn’t manage to turn off a large segment to the country to what is a classic and compelling sport. There’s no question, though, that CBS didn’t do MMA any favors Saturday."

This was a complete and outer joke, Kimbo lost that fight first off, but don't tell Gary Shaw that, because in his mind Kimbo will win everytime freaking fight. This was a joke, the only bright spot was Gina Carano's fight. That was joke. I hope the July EXC on CBS is the last one.

I agree the long walks to the cage werent necessary and the first two fights sucked, but the last three were very entertaining..
