According to an
MMAJunkie report, UFC President Dana White told Dave Meltzer that he would never give permission to UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva to box Roy Jones Jr.
The dream fight has been talked in preliminary stages only but both fighters were apparently willing to have the fight. The biggest hold up is the fact Silva is under an exclusive contract to the UFC, meaning they would need to OK any potential fight.
So much for that.
Probably the smart thing though, no sense in seeing one of your top guys get clobbered by a boxer in a boxing match.
