In a stunning development, WWE.com announced earlier this morning that Jeff Hardy has been suspended for 60-days for his second violation of WWE's Wellness Policy.
WWE.com simply stated, " In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE has suspended Jeff Hardy for 60 days, for his second violation of the company’s policy."
It's unknown exactly what Hardy did to garner a second suspension. It's worth noting that if he does anything again in the future to warrant a third suspension, he will be fired.
Hardy had a ton of momentum since December and was featured prominently on WWE TV since then. Last night, he lost (for the second week in a row) to Chris Jericho, the WWE IC Championship also switched hands (Jeff held it).
This sucks BIG TIME! Hopefully with two months off TV, he can get his head on straight.
Remember, this means Jeff Hardy will NOT be at Wrestlemania as he was scheduled to be. In fact, he was considered the favorite to win his match (which would have earned him a shot at the World Championship anytime in 2008.).
