The breaking news is straight from WWE's corporate web-site (WWE CORPORATE)...WWE Smackdown returns to MyNetworkTV beginning in the Fall (September).

No matter what anyone says, this is a step down for WWE. MyNetworkTV is one of the weakest networks on brodcast TV and it's future is still a mystery. In two years, if they continue to do poorly in the ratings, they may not exist.

However, for MyNetworkTV, this is a great deal. They get 52-weeks of first run programming and it usually does well in the ratings enough that it does give a boost to the network.

The thing to look for is whether or not WWE Smackdown changes days once again. Originally it started on UPN (MyNetwork's predecessor) on Thursday nights, but moved to Fridays recently. Thursday is the better TV night.

Yeah, definite step down. I'm not even sure I get MyNetworkTV on my cable system. Gonna have to check, but major bummer if not.

I haven't watched Smackdown in a while, but it was always nice to know it was on if I wanted to see it. I hope I get the new channel.

I get it, but don't watch the WWE, the only reason I knew I had because Family Guy was on when I was flipping through channels. lol

For the most area I'm sure it will be the old channel upn used to be on. I know that my local channel that used to be UPN became MyNetworkTV.

My old UPN station became an empty channel. Complete and total black screen. So I guess I don't get it.
