“The Ultimate Fighter 6” runner-up Tommy Speer (9-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), a former WEC fighter who was submitted by Mac Danzig in the show’s live finale last month, is expected to fight Anthony Johnson (4-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 13, an event that takes place April 2 — likely in Denver, Colo.
A source close to one of the fighters recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that bout agreements should be inked and the fight made official “soon.“
UFC Fight Night 13, which will serve as a lead-in for the upcoming seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” currently features a slew of other intriguing match-ups, including Stephan Bonnar vs. Matt Hamill, Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon, and Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher.
