World Extreme Cagefighting 31 is shaping up to be one of the better cards in the near future of MMA. On Wednesday, December 12th on the VERSUS TV network, WEC will hit the air with their final live event of the year.

The show is tonight, all fighters on the card made weight at weigh-in's yesterday.

Wow. Pulver made Swanson tap in less than a minute.

Cub went in for the takedown, Pulver sprawled and was able to lock in a front chokehold and Swanson tapped.

Main event is on now. Urijah Faber just gave up his back to Curran.

Faber is trying to work his way out of it, but can't.

Curran seems to be waiting to get a choke on, but Faber is defending it.

Wow, Faber stood up and threw himself down, knocking Curran into the mat.

Now Faber is just about reversing position, HE DID IT! Wow.

Now Faber is in Curran's guard.

Round one ended with Faber standing delivering kicks to Curran.

I'd score the round 10-9 for Faber. Even though Curran had his back for a good 2-3 minutes, it looked like Faber did more overall damage.

Faber has great position on Curran. Shoulder and leg are in Faber's control. Weird.

Curran is busted open (probably from one of Faber's elbows).

Faber has a choke locked on Curran.

And it's over with a tapout.

Faber won via guillotine choke and retains the WEC Featherweight title.
