Re: UFC 78 Results Thread

Thiago Alves def. Chris Lytle via doctor stoppage (blood) after the second round.

Reported to be confusion after this one. Supposedly, Alves' eye looked horrible but the doctor stopped it because of blood getting into one of Lytle's eyes. It looked like Lytle had very little blood. Crowd did not like this one bit.

The LIVE PPV begins in about 10 minutes.

Re: UFC 78 Results Thread

The main event is up next between Rashad Evans (favorite) and Michael Bisping.

So far the crowd is said to be deflated due to Alexander's loss.

Re: UFC 78 Results Thread

Bisping was boo'd heavily. First round didn't see a lot of damage done. Evans secured a few takedowns and had the mount and ground and pound at one time.

Sounds like Evans had the first round.

Re: UFC 78 Results Thread

2nd round saw Evans land a big slam on Bisping. But the majority of the round was the two trading stand-up. Sounds like it could go either way.

Re: UFC 78 Results Thread

I knew Rashad would win, but I stunned Houston went down.
