3. Joe Calzaghe
4. Juan Manuel Marquez
5. Bernard Hopkins
6. Miguel Cotto
7. Jermain Taylor
8. Winky Wright

So what do you think of their Top 10 list? Who's too high? Who's too low? Who's missing and who shouldn't even be on here?

Re: Top 10 Boxers

Winky probably would have been higher if he was impressive in any of his recent fights.

Mayweather should be #1, no argument there. He's the most talented right now IMO and he's a character...best of both worlds.

IMO, Jermain Taylor should be rated a bit higher but no biggy.

Re: Top 10 Boxers

I can't believe that not one heavyweight made the list. Klitschko should have at least made the top 10. It looks like he was 11. I don't have a problem with the top 3, but Hopkins should not really be on the list. He has lost a lot from his prime. Mosley has really turned it around. If I remember, he got rid of his manager after he lost to Wright.

Re: Top 10 Boxers

az, I think the reason Klitschko didn't make the Top 10 (or any heavy), there's not a lot of top tier competition in the weight class. Unlike the middleweight/welterweight/featherweight divisions.

Re: Top 10 Boxers

I know there is not that much competiton anymore, but are they trying to tell me that an aging Hopkins (42) is a better pound for pound fighter than Klitschko. I wish there was a way to handicap the fights to let them fight it out for the title.

Wladimir Klitschko suffers from a very weak heavyweight division. You are only as good as your competition. Ali had Foreman, Fraizer, Liston etc to fight...who does Klitschko really have?
