The former UFC lightweight champion (and former coach on the Ultimate Fighter reality show) has dropped weight, to about 145 pounds and will join the World Extreme Cagefighting group in the featherweight division.
The WEC is the UFC's sister promotion and is home to the smaller fighters generally. Both promotions are owned by the same group.
UFCJunkie reports, Pulver's WEC debut fight will be on "Sept. 5 against Cub Swanson (11-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). The fight takes place at WEC 30, which will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev."
According to the blog, Swanson has won his last eleven fights. The big fight will headline the show along with a possible title defense from WEC posterboy Uriah Faber.
