Tonight at 10 PM eastern, Showtime (the network) will air the first live mixed-martial arts broadcast in the network's history. EliteXC is a rather new organization. Here is the card for the live show:

Main Event: Frank Shamrock vs. Renzo Gracie
Antonio Silva vs. Wesley Correira
David Loiseau vs. Joey Villasenor
Charles Bennett vs. KJ Noons
Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie

The announcers for the show will be former NFL player and pro wrestler Bill Goldberg and actor Mario Lopez.

I only know of maybe three or four guys on the card. The main event looks intriguing with the whole Shamrock/Gracie family feud.

In case anyone wants to know some results, first off it was a great show. As it turned out, Mario Lopez wasn't part of the product. MMA announcer Mauro Ranallo along with Jay Glazer and Bill Goldberg were at the mics.

Charles Bennett def. K.J. Noons via TKO in 1st
Gina Carano def. Julie Kedzie via unanimous decision (awesome fight)
Joe Villasenor def. David Loiseau via unanimous decision
Antonio Silva def. Cabbage Correira via TKO in 1st
Renzo Gracie def. Frank Shamrock via DQ in 2nd (due to illegal knees)

Note that the female bout was the first female MMA fight to be featured on television. History making to say the least. Gina Carano is a star in the making. She's hot and she can kick ass.

The main event was weird because Shamrock was warned at one point about illegal knees to the back of Gracie's neck/head. He did it again, twice and the bout was stopped. Gracie couldn't continue (doctor/his corner said he had a concussion) and the ref awarded him the fight via disqualification.

Overall, a great show with a weird ending. I have no clue about when the next EXC show may air on Showtime but definitely check it out (if it replays).
