WWE SummerSlam 2009

Time for the WWE's second biggest PPV of the year besides Wrestlemania, WWE SummerSlam live on Pay-Per-View from Staples Center this Sunday. Here's the card that is unifinished, obviously I'm not going to list all the possible matches that could be added but here is what's already on the card.

World Heayvweight Title TLC Match
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. CM Punk

WWE Championship Match
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena

DX vs. Legacy

Unified Tag Team Titles Match
Chris Jericho and Big Show (c) vs. Cryme Time

Intercontinental Title Match
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Jack Swagger vs. MVP

ECW Championship Match
Christian (c) vs. William Regal

The Great Khali vs. Kane

I will the two or three new matches that could be added this week

I think Punk wins, "injures" Jeff (so he can take time off) and fueds with Matt and/or Morrison.

Tough one to call. Seems like its been a long time since Cena's held the belt, but Orton always seems to be dropping then regaining the title. He needs a big title defense win. Whoever wins, I hope they wind up going on to a fued with someone new.

DX vs. Legacy
I want SO badly for Legacy to get a clean win over DX, but it'll never happen. Either DX gets the win, or Michaels turns on Hunter leading to a DiBiase/Rhodes win and a new program for the two DX guys.

Jericho and the Show. This is a no-brainer.

Intercontinental Title Match
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler
I went with Ziggler last time, I'm going to again. Word is the only reason Ziggler lost is because Rey complained that he didn't want a super-short IC title reign. Ziggler's ready to go through the roof and he needs this belt.

The Great Khali vs. Kane
Whoever wins, the fans lose. It'll be a horrible match. I hope Kane wins and they can actually get him back in the title picture, or at least find something somewhat productive for him to do.

I'm smelling Knox vs. Finlay coming up after Smackdown this past week. Probably one or both women's titles will be on the line too. Betcha Gail Kim's gonna win if she gets her title show.

Re: WWE SummerSlam 2009

After Raw last night, I sure hope they don't put a Divas title match on the card. Yikes, that the hell was that? Sloppiest match I've ever seen.

I thought that was decent the end was bad, Jerry Lawlor was saying how he noticed the Impact from the kick and the clothesline I barely noticed them lol. Then I was waiting for Gail to turn heel, that never happened. Oh well. Swagger vs. MVP is offically on the card.

I was reading some discussion earlier where they thought Gail might've had a concussion after the cross body from the ropes. Hard to say, but that was one messed up ending to the match. Can't remember the last time I saw a forearm to the jaw lead to a pinfall.

Glad to see MVP and Swagger's feud finally going somewhere. After that two-minute DQ thing last night, it seemed like an afterthought. Guess they were just building to this. Hate to see either one of them lose a big PPV match, because they should both be groomed for bigger roles.

Re: WWE SummerSlam 2009

WWE SummerSlam is one of the BIG FOUR WWE Pay-Per-View events of the year, and is usually the Biggest party of the summer. My Fav of all matches is the Return of DX. Man! When Shawn is back, WWE Actually becomes alive... What say Guys.. He is the Show Stopper, The Main event, the ICON...

Re: WWE SummerSlam 2009

Christian vs. Regal. Very interesting. I've been a fan of Regal's for a long time now. Would love to see him get the win, but I doubt they'd have Christian drop the belt so soon. Then again, it looks like they're set to push Regal/Kozlov/Big Zeke as a new heel faction, so... who knows?

Re: WWE SummerSlam 2009

Jeff Hardy will win the TLC I've heard spoilers that link him to house shows post Breaking Point so I see him keeping the belt and if anything Punk will beat him down the next Smackdown and it will be like a triple threat with Punk/Morrison/Matt at Breaking Point for the vacant title, so who knows but I see Jeff retaining it's his match.

I think Orton beats Cena they've really done nothing with this fued and Cena winning would be kind of pointless because there's building this fued up on the fact it's Randy Orton and John Cena. Plus I see Triple H winning the title at Hell in a Cell. Orton will retain.

DX squashes Legacy and rightfully so they are Orton's little ♫♫♫♫♫es at this point nothing more and should be treated as so. Give DX the win.

Tag Titles I would love to see Cryme Time win, but that won't happen JeriShow will go over hopefully Cryme Time won't get squashed too bad

IC Title match, for some reason I got a feeling Rey might win one more time because it's in SoCal, Rey's home area plus Rey did just get Ko'd on Smackdown and people who usually get beaten right before they win. But they've buid up Ziggler too much for him to lose. Ziggler shocks Rey in SoCal.

Swagger vs. MVP I've heard rumors that the winner of this match will be in the Breaking Point Main event, I doubt it but I think Swagger is closer to the main event than MVP at this point which shouldn't be the case. I Swagger winning that getting a push toward's the main event by the end of the year, oh joy.

Christian will retain, there's so little built up to this match. I think that heel faction will get a push later and they may just beatdown Christian and get DQ'd. But one way or another Christian will retain.

Khali vs. Kane who cares, Kane will probably win they've teased something with him and Undertaker after he made Rajin Singh say he was jealous of his brother. So Kane will go over than Undertakers music will hit those are my picks
