Kielty off the bench for Boston with a home run. 4-1 Boston in the 8th.

Was there really ever any doubt? What a boring World Series, unless you're a Red Sox fan.

Agreed. What an awful series. Luckily, probably nobody on the East Coast was awake to watch it.

Re: World Series Game 4 Red Sox vs. Rockies

As it turned out the Rockies may have been the worst team ever to make it to a Series, at least in the top three. They have a handful of guys that would even make the Yankees or Red Sox rosters. And Clint Hurdle made francona look like Casey Stengel. You took Fuentes out of the closer role for a reason, remember?

Re: World Series Game 4 Red Sox vs. Rockies

The last four World Series have lasted a combined 17 games, with just the Tigers last year winning a game and avoiding four straight sweeps. How pathetic is that? For all the talk of parity in baseball, the championship series has been just about as one-sided as it can be recently.

I wouldn't go that far. The Rockies aren't among the worst teams to make the series IMO. They just ran into a dominating team that only a select few could have beaten in a seven game series.

The Rockies will be contenders next year for sure.

I agree with the Fuentes move though, how could Hurdle continually put him in a key spot?

Re: World Series Game 4 Red Sox vs. Rockies

They were a team that went on a freak, once-in-a-generation hot streak. They are about as good as the Texas Rangers, except Texas has much more hitting.

Then Texas would have been in the playoffs.

Re: World Series Game 4 Red Sox vs. Rockies

No, Texas is about the ninth or tenth best team in the American League, which Colorado would be if they were in it. I think the Royals would have beaten them in seven.

Oh you know the Devil Rays would have won the World Series in just a single game.

Re: World Series Game 4 Red Sox vs. Rockies

Whose lineup would you rather have, the Devil Rays or the Rockies?
Holliday and Helton and the rest of the strikeout kings versus Carlos Pena, Carl Crawford, BJ Upton, Delmon Young, and the rest.
