2007 NLDS Colorado Rockies vs. Philadelphia Phillies

After game 163 of the regular season, the national league playoffs are finalized. The Colorado Rockies are in the playoffs for the first time since 1995. The Philadelphia Phillies are in for the first time since 1993. So we get some fresh blood.

This should be a fun series as both teams have some great players. Ironically, the top two MVP candidates will play against each other (Jimmy Rollins, Matt Holliday).

Neither team has amazing starting pitching or a dominant bullpen so this is a toss-up in my book.

I'll be pulling for the Rockies...for the obvious reason.

Yeah, I'm pulling for the Rockies too. I've really become enamored by these underdogs and the way they've kept coming. Still can't believe they made the playoffs. They looked like such a longshot not all that long ago. And now here they are, facing the Phils. Amazing.

Re: 2007 NLDS Colorado Rockies vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Ya know who I'm pulling for. Should be a good series though. The Rockies edged out the Phils 4-3 in the season series, but I think we can take em. Pretty even though. I can see it going five, with some 9-8 games mixed in!

And Empire, ya oughta be mad at your team, not rooting against my Phils! (but I would be doing the same, lol)

So I guess the Rockies are the trendy pick?? That is fine, the Phils love surprising people.

Its not trendy it is just true When have the worst starting pitching in the NL and by far the worst bullpen in the playoffs. You just don't win

Yeah, sorry Phils. I've got nothing against Manuel. Lest we forget, the Phillies pretty much came back from the playoff graveyard too.

The Rockies have a ton of momentum. The Phillies have momentum too but they will be relying on their bats to win games.

We shall see. Check out the Septmeber Stats. And with being able to drop that dead horse Eaton, our ERA will take a dip. And don't forget JC romero wasn't here all season, and Gordon and Myers spent about a month each on the DL. Just saying, don't look at stats, look at how those stats happpened. The Phils led the majors in DL days, and still made it. And who cares if the Mets collapsed, we have a better recond than the Cubs, who made it. And better the last years champs.

Go Phils. I think I know a little about my own team.

I'm not looking at the stats I am looking at the fact they blew a 10-0 lead vs. Cardinals

True, on a night they tried to give their bullpen workhorses a night off. The top dogs will be in for the playoffs. Like I said, I think I know my team. Come on, base a prediction on one game??????

WOW.

Anyway, I want to keep this fun, so I'll move on! I'll respect your opinion.

Go Phils!!!!

Just hope you don't have to rely on Tom Gordon in a key playoff spot.
