2007 NLDS Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

These two ball clubs are interesting. The Chicago Cubs had high expectations entering the year and came on during the year and fought off the Brewers late. The Diamondbacks had some expectations but not many expected them to take the division like they did.

This should be a fun series. It starts on Wednesday in Arizona. No official start time yet.

After the two aces (Zambrano and Webb), there aren't any real top starters. So this series should be determined by the bullpens.

Ugh, I dislike playoff games that start that late. Because you know they won't end until after 1am eastern.

Is there any happy medium for the west coasters and east coasters?

Re: 2007 NLDS Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Well, I'm sure the West Coasters have enjoyed seeing the D-Backs take a 2-0 lead, and the Cubbies fans have been spared having to watch the carnage, so maybe baseball made the right call on this after all. Yep, Arizona won 8-4 yesterday, thanks to a 3-run dinger by Chris Young and a two-run triple by Stephen Drew.

Re: 2007 NLDS Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Being down 2-0 is a lot of pressure on the guys to make a good pitch every time out and take a good swing at each pitch. I think playing at Wrigley will add even more pressure to the Cubbies facing elimination.

Re: 2007 NLDS Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

I called Dbacks before the series started, and my phylosophy on the situation now is, if the Cubs couldn't win leading 3-1 in a series, how the hell can they win a series down 0-2?

They're dead, stick a fork in the Cubbies.

You can't say that yet because if Hill edges the D-Backs today then you got Big Z vs. Micah Owings tomorrow, then Game 5 would would be very good with Lilly and Webb

First time for everything Rams. Who thought Boston would come back from being down 0-3 back in 2004?

Shutup, I had $15 riding on the Yanks winning game 5, as is the pattern with 3-0 series leads, the losing team wins one to stave off a sweep and the winning team goes home to put it away, but that didn't happen.
