MLB Division Series' on TBS

Just a reminder as we're just 15 days away from the start of the MLB post-season. The entire division series round (that's the opening round) will be televised on the TBS network (Turner Broadcasting). Although no times are set, here's a tentative schedule as far as dates according to MLB.Com...

NLDS A
Game 1: Wed, Oct. 3
Game 2: Thurs, Oct. 4
Game 3: Sat, Oct. 6
Game 4: Sun, Oct. 7 (if necessary)
Game 5: Tues, Oct. 9 (if necessary)

NLDS B
Game 1: Wed, Oct. 3
Game 2: Thurs, Oct. 4
Game 3: Sat, Oct. 6
Game 4: Sun, Oct. 7
Game 5: Tues, Oct. 9 (if necessary)

ALDS A
Game 1: Thurs, Oct. 4
Game 2: Fri, Oct. 5
Game 3: Sun, Oct. 7
Game 4: Mon, Oct. 8 (if necessary)
Game 5: Wed, Oct. 10 (if necessary)

ALDS B
Game 1: Wed, Oct. 3
Game 2: Fri, Oct. 5
Game 3: Sun, Oct. 7
Game 4: Mon, Oct. 8 (if necessary)
Game 5: Wed, Oct. 10 (if necessary)

They plan on having as many as three games on one day. I assume one afternoon game while two at night with regions getting different games.

I believe they have in the past run with a 1pm, 4pm, 8pm set up but I could be wrong. Probably depends if you've got West Coast teams hosting games as well... theoretically you could wind up with some 10pms out of the deal. Of course, baseball made a lot of noise about wanting earlier gametimes, so we'll have to see how this all works out.

I understand not scheduling too early to accomodate the West Coast viewers, but starting games at 9:00pm ET is horrible!!! I always end up staying up, but some games run well past midnight, and that's way too late, especially for kids.....

Especially those AL games, suedon.

I expect the west coast teams to play at 4 eastern, 1 pacific. A central/eastern match-up should be the 1 eastern game. The premiere match-up (Redsox, Yanks, Mets) will be featured at 8 eastern. Least that's how I see it.

Yep, that sounds about right - Yankees & Red Sox will usually get the prime time slots for maximum ratings......
