Both teams are using end of the rotation pitchers. I smell a slugfest. Those are almost impossible to predict. A lot of times, the last team to bat wins.

Well, I got the slugfest part right. Actually, the Cardinals just got too far behind to win even with a rally, unless it was a whopper.

The Cardinal pitching only looked good against the pathetic San Diego offense. The Mets ( especially Beltran and Reyes) have hit the Cardinals hard this year. Even if the Cards score a bunch of runs, I doubt it'll be enough to hold off the Mets' onslaught.
