The University of Wisconsin football team has had problems at the safety positions the last two seasons.
With three senior safeties this fall on the two-deep roster at free and strong safety, it is also a crucial position in the 2010 recruiting class.
That’s why the oral commitment from Frank Tamakloe, a safety from Our Lady Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md., on Monday night was welcome news for the Badgers.
Tamakloe, 6-foot-2, 172 pounds, has most of the measureables to be a top safety prospect in this year’s high school senior class. He is on the ESPNU 150 Watch List, meaning he is under consideration to be among the top 150 players in the nation, regardless of position. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds.
