Badgers vs. Bulldogs 10:30 am ET ESPN2

Although a lot of attention is being focused on another Big Ten team game this week, this No. 10 Wisconsin vs. No.21 Fresno game deserves attention.
Its rare that a BCS powerhouse like Wisconsin goes on the road to a tough non-BCS game particularly one with such a homefield advantage as Fresno.
Its a high risk game but Coach Bielema likes to point out the high reward. Barring a Buckeye win over the Trojans, no Big Ten team will head into conference play with such an impressive victory.
The Badgers started slow in their first two games and ended strong. All American TE Travis Beckum will play as well as OL Jonathan Casillas.
Everyone knew Wisconsin could run the ball, and Everidge has shown he can pass as well. Beckum will open up the offense even more.
Badgers played a vanilla defense in the first two games. But they will have to come up with a way to stop RB Ryan Matthews who had 163 yds and 3 TDs in the Fresno's opener against Rutgers.

If you missed this game, you missed a nail biter. All the attention was given to the USC and Ohio game, and Ohio was manhandled by USC.
But this was the game to see. Wisconsin came into this game knowing that the Bulldogs were not an easy touch. This was a big game for both teams.
There were questions on Wisconsin's side coming in. Starting quarterback Allen Everidge has not played in many games in spite of being a senior. How would he handle the hostile environment? How would he deal with different defensive schemes. Can the vanilla style of defense by the Badgers in the last two weeks step up?
Here was the No. 10 ranked team against the No. 21 ranked team.
Questions were answered on the Badgers side as they defeated the Bulldogs 13-10. JP Hill got the game ball, with 26 carries for 112 yards.
Everidge went out of the game in the 4th with severe cramps, he came back to watch the rest of the game on the sideline. The Badgers D held strong and stopped the Bulldogs. (no vanilla defense here)
And how does JP Hill do it? He's buried in a mass of defenders and all of a sudden he shoots through for a few more yards.
Everidge gets better each week.
