Wisconsin senior Brian Butch breaks down the swing offense to its simplest form.
"It allows different players to be in different positions. Our guards post, our bigs step out and shoot".
The 6-11 Butch knows all about stepping out and shooting. He hit 23 of 75 three pointers this season. Most college coaches would have a coronary if their post players stepped out of the arc and even looked at the basket.
Its one of the reason Butch went to Wisconsin because it plays up to one of his strengths.
The biggest benefit is that it constantly creates mismatches. Most post players cant play defense out near the three point line and many guards dont know how to play defense in the post.
