Michael Flowers: Quarterback?

More than once I have heard a rumor about Michael Flowers playing quarterback after basketball this year.
Alvarez has said that Flowers was a great football player in high school and could play quarterback or cornerback.
I have also read that Flowers has said he isnt interested in playing football, that basketball is his game.
Interesting rumor though, huh?
