The Boilermakers had an answer for everything the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team could throw at them Saturday night and earned a stunning 72-67 victory in a battle of the Big Ten Conference's first-place teams at the Kohl Center.
The victory put 24th-ranked Purdue (19-5, 10-1) alone atop the Big Ten standings while the 8th-ranked Badgers (19-4, 9-2), which lost at home to a conference opponent for the first time since a 66-51 defeat to Illinois on Jan. 31, 2006, dropped into third place.
