Perhaps, being labeled the
nation's top state for binge drinkers has set Wisconsin off a little bit.Either that, or they're just tired of having to eject inebriated students from Camp Randall Stadium. The University of Wisconsin has taken a step to curtail their image as a wild party school, as well as the image of Camp Randall Stadium as a haven for drunk college students. As the Badgers prepare to play Iowa in Madison Saturday night, we get word of a new policy for those who frequent the stadium and have caused trouble at past Badger games:
You'd
better be sober, or you aren't getting in the stadium.
UW-Madison officials said say this requirement affects about twenty five of the thousands of students expected for the season's first night game. Officials said the affected students have been previously tossed out of games because of problem drinking.
"We will connect with those students who need to stop by (and) take a preliminary breath test," said Associate Dean of Students Kevin Helmkamp. "For those students who are underage and have been ejected from a previous game, they would need to blow point-zero, show us they haven't had any alcohol."
