New WVU Head Coach

Okay, the past is the past. Rodriguez is gone. Who's the next WVU football coach? I'm hearing two names right now - former Auburn head coach Terry Bowden (ties to the school) and Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones (a former WVU assistant under Rodriguez). Think it'll be one of these two guys, or someone else?

Exclamation Re: New WVU Head Coach

It's "rumored" that Nick Sabans' agent contacted WVU for the Head Coach position.

It's ridiculous...there are so many coaches out here chasing $$$ and these players don't get paid one freaking cent and suffer the backlash from it all! It makes me sick. Just like one of my good friends said to me today, "Coach Rod pimped WVU just so he could get to Michigan. Now Michigan will pimp him and when they are through with him, they will toss him aside and get a new one."

It's gotten so out of hand. Isn't there anything anyone can do to make these guys honor their contracts?

Re: New WVU Head Coach

Well like the Governor said this morning on a radio program, NimRod will pay every LAST penny of his buyout contract. $4,000,000.00! I hope it was worth every freaking penny.

He will pay it or be tied up in court until he does. I am sure a West Virginia judge would be more than happy to hold his release from WV until it is paid in full.

Re: New WVU Head Coach

Who thinks that WV would be willing to pay the $2.5 million buyout to get Jimbo Fisher?

I do. Just use some of the $4 million buyout Rodriguez has to pay and shuttle it down to FSU. I mean, why not?

IMHO Jimbo should take the WV job if it is offered to him so that he can start building his own win-loss record. Bobby is going to coach as long as he is able to walk the sidelines.

Re: New WVU Head Coach

Yeah, I agree. It's a good opportunity for him, too - as long as Slaton and White stay put.

i like this for two reasons, 1) i like jimbo alot 2) i believe if he comes here, Rick Trickett will follow him back to wvu, people do not realize this but Trickett is very key to the spread offense, he is the guy that wvu missed the most this year, he designed every run blocking scheme that went with the read option, it be good to have him back and if that means signing a guy like jimbo( who i think will be a great coach) over a guy like saban or bud foster then do it. However part of me wants to see Alabama sweat it out like i had to do last year

on another note, this rich rod is not done moving, im sure his next step is to follow bobby i quit and the ball coach to the nfl then back to college.
