Re: Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

WVU will come out with a win in their head. They have alot to prove to the nation and Oklahoma doesn't I think West Virginia will be fine as long as they can keep Oklahoma to a low scoring first half.

OK has to prove losing to boise was a fluke. WVU needs to make a statement, saying they will win with any coach, and that they made rod look good. However im starting to belive WVU will throw alot more next wed

Re: Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

I was hoping to see West Virginia play in the Orange Bowl.
This is going to be a very good game.
West Virginia is an extremely talented team, but so is Oklahoma.
I cant wait until January 2nd to see how this bowl goes down.
And like sport tees said, hopefully the Mountaineers will take out their anger on Rich during this game.

WVU whips Oklahoma, 48-28! Way to go Mountaineers!

Accordng to the Associated Press, "Pat White guided West Virginia to a stunningly easy romp over No. 3 Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Then, the option quarterback made his biggest pitch of the night... White ran for 150 yards and threw for 176 and two touchdowns in a 48-28 victory. After it was over, he endorsed Mountaineers interim coach Bill Stewart to become the permanent successor to Rich Rodriguez, who bolted for Michigan last month."

Re: Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

Oklahoma stunk up the joint last night! They were beaten from the opening kickoff. They looked like they didn't care about being there or they wanted to win, unlike the Mountaineers. They were out coached and out played from the start to the end. If you're a Sooners fan, you've got to be totally embarrassed today. And if you paid all that money to go to the game, you need to consider trying to get your money back.

One day, the folks here in Oklahoma will demand that Bob Stoops change his approach to bowl games. But I'm sure next week, we'll read in the local paper, he gets a big raise just for going.

Hey, welcome to the forums! Good to have another WVU fan on board! The thing I can't get over is, that if THIS team showed up against Pitt, the Mountaineers would be playing for the national championship tomorrow night. That's a tough pill to swallow.
