This has, in the recent past, been a scary game for the West Virginia Mountaineers. True, WVU is currently unbeaten and boasts an offense that, lead by Steve Slaton and Pat White, averages more than 500 yards and 47 points per game. But even though the Pirates are 1-2, they've already upset North Carolina and have given the Mountaineers fits in years past. So what do you guys think about this one? Can WVU win and go to 4-0?

This ECU team has played two physical teams so far and play with a lot of fire and well coached.
With WVU at home, I think it will be too much for East Carolina to keep up with West Virgina's speed by the 4th quarter.

I say WVU wins by two touchdowns because East Carolina is coming off a tough loss and home field advantage has its privelages for great offences like the Mountaineers.

Boy, I hope you're right, shortsleeve. But the Pirates are one of those teams that give us fits. They always seem to play WVU tough.

they do such a great time stopping the run. They have annoyed slaton and white. I think this is a big game to see if white can throw for 200 yards with a high completetion rate. Tho i hope that ecu just lays down and lets us run that would be much nicer

Maybe WV does have to really be read for this game. When you play against a team who knows they can play you tough, you can have a game of hard hitting and a long game day to see who wins. Confidence seems to be a huge factor this year with some of the upsets.

I still want the Big East to look good this year so lets hope WV comes out ahead in this one.

o ya they will. I just dont know who is going to be the big man this week. Does anyone else think slaton has put to much weight on and has lost his pull away speed

i tell you what the last two weeks our defense has looked better then advertised. That double move pat white put on that unlucky lb'er was insane, slaton had a few good juke moves. You guys have to find this block by our 6'8 wr wes lyons looked like something from wwe. Lousiville screwed us. Reynaud playing hurt still got two td's. It also looks like jarrett brown is going to get in the game each week, atleast for one possesion.

Oh, and 599 total yards of offense and four touchdowns by Pat White doesn't hurt anything either. I can't wait to see what this team will do in the weeks to come.

i think friday only the sports bars will be packed, everyone else will be home watching the usf game. Thats a big first big east game. They must revenge the loss from last year in tampa

theres just to many interchangable parts on wvu's offense. so many guys are starting to make a difference on the offensive side of the ball, even pat white can get breathers now, cause of JB. Slaton has devine. Reynaud has hoggans i think it is. Its just insane.

Congrats to WV today. I watched a good deal of the game. Very impressive performance. A much deserved ranking was demonstrated on the field.
