WVU RB Steve Slaton has a bruised left thigh and could miss the Gator Bowl showdown with Georgia Tech on Monday. In fact, the AP is reporting that if he plays at all, he will be very limited. Huge blow for the Mountaineers. Can Jason Colson and Owen Schmitt pick up the slack?

thats big news but i got big news that is very strange. Jason Gwaltney former wvu blue chip recruit is returning to wvu in the spring after a stint at nassau commuinty college. When Gwaltney got hurt Slaton took hiis job and now look where slaton is. Should be intresting to see this combo what ya think lefty

Interesting, but it's a crowded backfield already, with just White and Slaton splitting carries. How this gonna work?

i think slaton is gettign banged up from taking all the reps because none of his backups are good what soever. I belive Gwaltney will be used sparingly next yr when slaton needs a break kinda like when jacobs comes in for barber and i think gwaltney will be the short yard runner instead of schmidt who just got used way to much this year and became innefective cause of it

Maybe they should use a J Brown and P White combo in the interim, that would make it very interesting.
