There is a VERY LEGIT possibility that the Big East conference will send two teams to the BCS Bowls. If you would have told anyone that back in August, they would have looked at you like you had a third eye. But it's a very real possibility right now.

For that to happen, West Virginia needs to defeat Rutgers next week. Also, Southern California needs to defeat Notre Dame this weekend. In that case, West Virginia would be the second non-conference winning team behind Michigan in the BCS. Louisville would get the automatic Big East bid and WVU would get one of the two at-large bids.

So, Rutgers is playing for a great bowl game and to keep the Mountaineers out of the BCS. The game should be amazing next week in WVU territory.

the problem is if rutgers and nd dont goto a bcs game, it will mean notre damn will goto the gator bowl, and rutgers will go back to wat i think is called the sun bowl, the same game as they were in last year. Ive heard some things on local news in wv that the bigeast might tell notre damn to get all their teams in or all their teams out cause of situations like the gator bowl. THe gator bowl is the 2nd place big east team or ND if there bowl eligble and not in a bcs game. But i doubt you will ever get the big east to get nd in it. The only way i belive you can is if you tell them they dont have to share their nbc money. But do any of you guys every see them going to a conferencce or will they always be an independent team
