Running back Steve Slaton and the #6 West Virginia Mountaineers had a big day last weekend, winning the first even Friends of Coal Bowl by beating in-state rival Marshall. So apparently they've been rewarded with the week off by schedule makers, who have given them a home game in week 2 against a I-AA opponent in Eastern Washington. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Eagles defense gave up five touchdowns in the first 19 minutes in their game against Oregon State last week. Imagine what WVU could do to them! This one's not gonna be pretty, is it?

i stated this in a different thread, but this game was orginally vt, then it was buffalo now its eastern washington. Buffalo decided they couldnt play auburn and wvu in the same season so in april they backed out. They found this game on short notice. Slaton will get his 200 yards a few td's pile up stats. Pat white will be in there long enough to get reps. He has not been pratcing all week cause he re-aggraivated a rib injury in WVU's defeat of Marshall. So i dont see him playing long. Im sure you'll see jason Colson and Owen Scmidt(the man child) getting close to 100 yards as well as wat slaton will get and they prob have a little under 100 passing they'll just want to get threw the game qquickly.

Yawn... easy win for WVU, 52-3. Mountaineers put up about 580 yards of total offense to boot.

pat white got reps in, hope his ribs are doing ok, and i cant wait for thursday wen maryland comes to town, night games are alot of fun in morgantown, it gets really loud inside mylan puskar stadium at night
