I’m excited to go to Washington for Tuesday’s game because I want to see how the amazing Gilbert Arenas shines in his own world. I’ve experienced him several times here in Detroit and each time I remark to myself that I’ve never met an NBA personality like this guy. With the exception of Dennis Rodman, (and c’mon, Rodman was certifiably nuts,) there’s never been a more blatant – and delightful -- self-promoter than Gilbert Arenas.
What makes his almost maniacal desire to bring attention to himself so disarming is that he’s also universally perceived as one of the genuine good guys in the league. In fact, The Sporting News gives out an annual “Good Guys in Sports” list, and Gilbert makes it every year.

I like the fact that a blatant self promoter can still be a nice guy...Arenas for MVP

ya know i thought he was being a little childish when he got cut from the world team. However this year jesus f'ing christ(sorry for using the lords name in vain) but this guys is destroying folks left and right. Im enjoying agent zero at work right now, i think he is marketing himself right and is playing like he deserves the title of mvp. I know nash is going to be there for the running but everyone has to look at arenas this year.
