| Washington State vs. San Diego State The Cougars may have lost their season opener, but for one quarter at least, they kept neck-and-neck with one of the Top 10 teams in the country in the Wisconsin Badgers. On the plus side, WASU managed over 150 yards rushing in the game, led by Dwight Tardy's 96-yard, one-touchdown effort. The Cougars should be good enough to even their record with a win over the Aztecs, don't you think?

| Re: Washington State vs. San Diego State Washington won the game, 45-17, thanks largely to QB Alex Brink. According to the Associated Press, "Alex Brink completed a school-record 38 passes for 469 yards and five touchdowns... Brink's 469 yards is the third-highest total in school history, trailing only his own 531 yards against Oregon State in 2005 and Bledsoe's 476 yards against Utah in the 1992 Copper Bowl... Brink threw for 304 yards in the first half alone and stood on the sidelines wearing a baseball hat backward for the final 6 minutes. It was his the fourth game of 400 yards or more in his career, the most in WSU history." NCAA Football - San Diego State Aztecs/Washington State Cougars Recap Saturday September 8, 2007 - Yahoo!
