Cool Re: Redskins down to 3 candidates for Head Coach

If Snyder had any idea what he was doing, he'd be dangerous.

Yeah 2 weeks ago. Now he has signed a 5 year deal as HC. His family are going to move out of seattle, to washington. But its for the best.

Yeah, looks like he knew what he was doing after all, leaving the Hawks, eh?

I wouldnt move to the other side of the country for an OC job, when you could possibly be upgraded in seattle. But i would do it for a HC job though

Re: Redskins down to 3 candidates for Head Coach

This will not make the Washington fans happy right now AT ALL.

They're not going to care one whit about how good a job Holmgren has done at preparing assistants for head coach, or that he's come from an organization with a good recent track record of winning, or that Zorn has got to be better than the failed Fassell.

They wanted someone who's had a proven record better than their ex-defensive coordinator. They already hate the 'belligerent' Seahawk fans, and that will carry over to their newly hired former Seahawk coach.

I wish Jim Zorn all the best except when it comes to besting the Seahawks. May he survive all the initial hostility and rise above the low expectations for him. Given good talent to work with (not a given, really), I think he will.

Re: Redskins down to 3 candidates for Head Coach

If Gibbs and Williams had stayed, does anyone think the Redskins would have improved enough to be a real threat in the NFC east??

Re: Redskins down to 3 candidates for Head Coach

No, probably not - the Cowboys and Giants are just too good right now, and the Skins have too many weaknesses.
