Skins coaching search continues

Jim Fassell was NOT offered the Redskins head coaching job, according to media reports. Word is that Daniel Snyder wants to conduct additional interviews, namely with New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. So for the time being, Fassell is being asked to sit on the back burner and wait. Could that wind up costing the Skins, or do you think one of the other guys would be a better hire anyway?

Snyder's botching this one eight ways to Sunday. If he turns around and offers it to Fassell, I hope he turns it down.

Re: Skins coaching search continues

The Skins also want to interview Pats Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels. If he wants it it's his but he did turn down interviews with Oakland last year and Baltimore and Atlanta this year.

If he doesn't take it I bet it will Spagnola

Re: Skins coaching search continues

I have to figure, after yesterday, that Spagnuolo has lept to #1 on Snyder's list of candidates, wouldn't you agree?

Cool Re: Skins coaching search continues

No way Spagnola should take the Redskins job. Who would want to work for that nut?
