I just read a report on ESPN.com that Sean Taylor was shot on Monday in a home invasion at his home in Florida.

He's currently being listed in critical condition. He was shot in the lower body, possibly multiple times. Updates as we learn more.

Wow...ESPNews said he was shot in the groin.

The ESPN.com story says Taylor's attorney was told by his father that Taylor "had been shot in the leg and there was much bleeding because the femoral artery was severed."

Hopefully the doctor's can get everything under control ASAP.

Nasty, nasty stuff. I just heard the ESPNews report. They also said the team's going to fly down to Miami to be with him. Hope it all turns out well.

ESPNews says Sharpstein (family friend, former lawyer, who is at the hospital) said Sean Taylor is "clinging to life" at this point and doctor's are afraid of possible brain injuries or death.

Probably because it would've taken much longer via car.


The latest update is the doctor's have said Taylor has responded to them. He has made facial expressions and has responded to Doctor's requests to put pressure on their hand. So that's all good news.

Two reasons - one, it was faster, and two, there are instances where the medical workers don't want to chance a car wreck.

Taking his violent past into consideration, my guess is that this home invasion wasn't random. That's just my guess.

Well they are saying it was a robbery not a bulgary...the alarm code was off etc...so Sean probably knew the guy...and Sean's past (as that of a few former Hurricane players) is not a good one. So yeah, I think things caught up with him.
