In another incident that could hasten his departure from the Washington Redskins, WR Brandon Lloyd missed a recent meeting and was prohibited from accompanying the team to yesterday's game, a 23-20 victory in overtime over the New York Jets at Giants Stadium. "He missed an important meeting on Friday," Coach Joe Gibbs said. ... In addition to paying a hefty price to acquire Lloyd from the 49ers, the Redskins gave him $10 million in guaranteed bonuses, hoping he would be a consistent No. 2 receiver and deep threat. Lloyd has not met those expectations, and he's due a $1.8 million roster bonus in June. Teams generally do not reward players with big bonuses when they perform as poorly as Lloyd has in the first two years of his five-year contract. Given the structure of Lloyd's contract -- and his antics since joining the team -- it appears unlikely he will return to the Redskins next season.
