Though it took a couple of weeks, Redskins running back Clinton Portis finally has offered up a "real" apology for his comments from last month suggesting that dog fighting shouldn't be a crime.

"When I made those comments I didn't understand the seriousness behind it," Portis said on Tuesday, according to Jason LaCanfora of the Washington Post. "I didn't know it would affect that many people and didn't think what I said was that offense. But after doing some research and seeing how serious people take this, I shouldn't have made the comments. Hopefully it will die down and people will understand that at that time I had no idea the love people have for animals and I didn't consider it when I made those comments."

He should have left it alone. Now we are talking about how much of an idiot he is again. I still shows no remorse other than being sorry he didnt know people loved animals. Where has his head been?

reminds me of the Vick water bottle incident ....... happened months ago then it died down ......... then recently he issued a statement about it again ...... just dragged up thoughts about it all over again and what an idiot he is

Or maybe Doggies used to chase him and that is how he got fast enough to being a football player. And now he hates dogs because of it. It could be you know. LOL.

Well that's silly. Of course Snowmans come to life, haven't you watched Frosty? The trick is to find the right Magic Hat! No Hat, then no Snowman.

So, tell your daughter, "Yes, it could be, as long as you find the right Magic Hat" I guess some people just don't believe in Magic.

BTW, "could be huh?" implies a possibility while not saying anything about the probability of something. Something can be possible and yet not probable. So listen to your daughter more! LOL.
