What's sad is he'll leave Washington at seaons end, return to the American League and get a contract that makes this $10 Million look like nothing. I think he could easily get somewhere in the range of $12-$14 Million per year from an AL team. I can't wait to see how Soriano's relationship with Frank Robinson develops over the course of the season. That should be fun...for non-Nationals fans that is.

Hey now!...leave Alfonso Soriano alone...he helped get me a Baseball Fantasy League Title in 2004 and that's good enough for me...and since I still retain his rights, my boy needs those two extra millions to be happy...least he...no wait, I forgot I traded the bum last year ...he is someone elses problem now...so yeah, he ain't worth that additonal two million...who the heck does he think he is?...and darn it this is America...not some "free enterprise" system...no wait...uuuhh...yes, well...hmmm...the guy has the same right we all have to get as much out of a contract as he can...my bad....gee, I am really, really confused on this one...

Re: Alfonso Soriano Washington is reportedly trying to lock him up long term, but I kind out doubt they will after reading the story about him in the Baltimore Sun on March 11. According to the paper: "Soriano, 30, said he's had enough adjusting and acquiescing. He's not budging from his stance: Play me at second or trade me to someone who will."
