Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports writes tonight the Nationals are close to naming current Mets third-base coach Manny Acta as their new manager. According to him, the deal is "almost-done" and Acta is about to cancel an interview with Oakland.

Acta was manager of one of the teams in the World Baseball Classic and is thought of pretty highly in the community.

I'd say it's a good higher for a team that expects to be rather young.
