| Huskies Tyrone Willingham resigns University of Washington football coach Tyrone Willingham has resigned.
Willingham will coach the Huskies through the end of season, they said.
The announcement comes after one of the worst records in UW football history.
Willingham is 11-32 in his four seasons at UW, and the Huskies are 0-7 for only the second time ever.
Willingham and athletic director Scott Woodward made the announcement at a news conference Monday.
Willingham has been under fire for being unable to turn around the Washington program.
Woodward has said he did not want to change coaches during the middle of the season. But he said Monday's announcement ends speculation of what is going to happen with Willingham and lets the team focus on the final five games.
So thats 2 Washington coaches resigning at the end of the year.... (holmgren is the other)
