This is not the huge rivalry game it once was but still a huge Pacific NW rivalry game. This series dates back to 1900 with Huskies leading 58-37 with 5 ties. Huskies have played top teams very tough at home including LSU and USC who they beat. Ducks have beaten the Huskies 5 times in a row and the last 3 games have been blowouts. I expect a closer game here.

Masoli returns to lead No. 11 Oregon's pasting of Washington



SEATTLE -- Oregon again got the spark it needed from its special teams and defense with blocked punts, fake field goals and interceptions.
The Ducks (No. 11 BCS, No. 12 AP) also got their offense rolling.
Just in time for a Pac-10 showdown with Southern California on Halloween night in Eugene.

Jeremiah Masoli returned from a knee injury to run for two scores, Oregon blocked a punt for a touchdown and used a fake field goal to set up another TD, and the Ducks overwhelmed border rival Washington 43-19 on Saturday.

"This is a true team. It's not an offense, it's not a defense, it's not just one aspect of it," Oregon coach Chip Kelly said. "It's everyone contributing ... That punt you saw us start to gain some confidence and we started flying around and when we start flying it kind of gets into a frenzy mode and it's a neat thing to be around."

It doesn't get any better than a win over the Huskies! I was certainly surprised how the Ducks really dominated this game. Bring on USC!!!
