They lost last night to this amazing newly inspired Leaf team.
3-2.
They didn't play too inspired themselves, until the 3rd when it was all Caps. But they didn't get the tying goal, and kolzig got the loss.
So what's going to happen there? This is one of the most soap opera-dramatic happenings in the NHL right now. The Caps have a once great number one goalie in Kolzig. he's fallen off his game of late and to kick him in the a**, they pick up Huet. that must have been a dark moment for Kolzig when the goalie coach told him Huet was picked up.
"Oh by the way, Ollie - you have to fight for your life."
Now everyone is a professional so i am sure him and Cristobal are being nice to each other, but the drama simmers just beneath the surface.

I agree with your opinion on Kolzig. He does seem to have lost a step, or three!

It's a good plan - what team has the nerve to do that?
leafs did it but for a while Toskala seemed no better than raycroft - now he's pulled away by miles.
But this has pitted Number 1 vs. Number 1 right away, and everyone is watching. the dude from France vs. the dude from Germany.
