| Capitals sign D John Erskine A few weeks ago, the Washington Capitals resigned D John Erskine. According to Pa. Sportsticker, "Erskine, 27, played in 29 games for the Capitals last season, recording one goal, six assists and 69 penalty minutes... The 6-4, 216-pounder has amassed four goals, eight assists and 405 penalty minutes while playing for the Capitals, New York Islanders and Dallas Stars." Good idea keeping this kid around? | Re: Capitals sign D John Erskine Good idea keeping him around. When he was playing, his defense around the net was great. Erskine was a great help to Kolzig. It came as no surprise to me that, when he was injured, the Capitals defense collapsed. I'm hopeful he makes it on the team as a member of the third pairing, and also gets some time on the PK. |
