Brashear AND mellanby in a fight - could you ever imagine?
Brashear, Brian Sutherby and Thrasher mellanby have been automatically suspended one game plus Brashear was suspended an additional two games.
Coaches were fined, too - Caps Glen hanlon got $30,000 and Bob hartley (Atl.) got $10,000.
Seems Brashear went after Vishnevski. The defenseman didn't want to fight but Brashear hit him till he got blood. Erskine went after Thrasher Hossa (come on, Hossa?) and Matt bradley fought Thrasher De Vries.

I don't think brashear was bred for anything but fighting. I love it when the coaches get fined, too. Like no one's above it every now and then.

The NHL should add mandatory fines for every fight that occurs on the ice. At least then there would be some deterance to what completely stops the momentum of the game.
