| Wake Forest wins sixth straight game WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Wake Forest kept piling up the points -- even with its offense on the sideline. Kevin Marion returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, linebacker Aaron Curry brought back one of his two interceptions 77 yards for a score and the Demon Deacons routed North Carolina 37-10 on Saturday for their sixth straight win. Wake Forest scored its ninth non-offensive touchdown of the season. Five have come on interception returns, two after fumble recoveries and one apiece on kickoff and punt returns. "The less we're on the field and we're putting points on the board, the better," quarterback Riley Skinner said of the offense. Josh Adams rushed for two scores and Skinner completed 12 of 15 passes for 133 yards, but the big plays produced in the other two phases of the game allowed Wake Forest (6-2, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) to avoid taking any unnecessary chances and remain a step behind unbeaten Boston College in the Atlantic Division race. | Re: Wake Forest wins sixth straight game This team and Michigan both make me wonder what things would've been like had they not struggled out of the gates. Both are playing excellent football right now and look like they have no business being 2 loss teams. Anyone here think Wake can still win the ACC?

| Re: Wake Forest wins sixth straight game I think their major hurdles will be this weekend in Virginia & on the 10th against Clemson @ Clemson. These are both tough places to win. The other two games are against NC State and Vanderbilt with on the State game being a home game. They would have to win every game left and Boston College would have to lose 3 of their last 4 in order for Wake to win the division and play in the conference championship. BC has Florida State @ home, Maryland @ Maryland, Clemson @ Clemson, & Miami @ home. So it s not out of the question. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out over the next few weeks. STAY TUNED!!!
