Demon Deacons WR Kevin Marion

Demon Deacons WR Kevin Marion stole the show during Thursday's scrimmage, scoring a pair of touchdowns and hauling in three catches for 70 yards during the two-hour event. Marion is a 5-10, 168 pound redshirt senior out of St. Petersburg, FL. He was ranked 10th in the ACC as a kick returner last season and caught 4 passes for 63 yards against Louisville in the Orange Bowl last season. So how good will this kid be in 2007?

Deacons hold first preseason scrimmage :: Offense tallies three touchdowns in nearly 2 hour scrimmage

Man, I worry when my punt returner comes in at 168 lbs...he better have eyes in the back of his head. I feel a CFL career...the field is wider, the speed is less...I think he can make a career returning kicks there.

Yeah, I don't know that the kid's speed is, but I'm guessing that's his major asset because he's not tall and he's not thick. Definitely not the kind of wideout you want to send over the middle against a Lott-style safety.
