Eric Berry Ruled Academically Ineligible for 2007

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest middle linebacker Eric Berry has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2007 season, athletic department officials announced on Monday. Berry will not participate in any football activities during the fall while he concentrates on academics.

Berry, a fourth-year junior, played in all 14 games last season with one start. He made 26 tackles, including four for loss and three sacks.

Cool Re: Eric Berry Ruled Academically Ineligible for 2007

I played HS football with Eric at Nansemond River and he's a smart guy, but something people don't understand is the demands of college football. I'm currently in my 5th year playing football for Norfolk State University and I was almost in the same position as are a lot of student-athletes. Understandably, student comes before athlete in student-athlete, but I'm at D-1AA school and it's tough, I can imagine how it is at a D-1A school where the professors are teaching classes with 200+ students.
