| FSU dealt rare loss to Va. Tech BLACKSBURG, Va. -- The losses seemed to come so fast and furious for Florida State, it was getting difficult to keep tally. Quarterback. Leading tailback. Top cover cornerback. Backup tailback. Just about all linebacker depth. Oh, yes. And a game. All of it finally caught up to the Seminoles in the fourth quarter Saturday, when No. 11 Virginia Tech poured on 20 points for a 40-21 victory that ended 32 years of futility against FSU. ''[The Hokies] got what they deserved,'' said FSU coach Bobby Bowden, who'd been undefeated in 15 previous meetings. ``We've beaten them a few times when we shouldn't have beaten them.
