From all accounts, the Virginia Tech defense dominated the team's first scrimmage.
According to HokieHaven.com, "Following a season ending injury last year, defensive end Jason Worilds made his presence felt by first blocking a Brent Bowden punt and then stripping quarterback Ike Whitaker from behind, picking it up and running it 57-yards for a touchdown. Worilds posted two sacks, one forced fumble, one recovery, one blocked punt, three tackles and two for loss on the day... He wasn't the only player on defense to make a showing. Starting linebacker Xavier Adibi, Brett Warren and Orion Martin posted five tackles each, while Adibi and Warren each recorded a sack. The defensive backfield landed two interceptions with Rashad Carmichael and Matt Reidy."
So how good will the VT defense be in 2007?
