Virginia - Va. Tech game

The 9-2 Hokies have a considerable edge over the Cavaliers in this rivalry game. The only real questionmark is the status of Hokies RB Branden Ore. There's been no official word about his condition, and whether or not he will play against Virginia. Then again, does it even matter. What are your thoughts on this one?

Re: Virginia - Va. Tech game

The Hokies were able to soundly defeat Wake Forest with out Ore. They're calling Ore's injury a "severe sprain". The Hokies sould win against the Cavs. even without Ore.

Two years ago, my wedding was rescheduled around the VA.Tech vs UVA game. It was moved up 2 hours so the cerimony wouldn't keep me from missing the kick-off. All you can hear, in most of the video taken at the recption, is my loud mouth, over in the corner of the room, screaming at the TV.
Tech won, my in-laws learned some new words and I have a very understanding "football widow".

lol, it's common practice in East TN to schedule fall weddings on open weekends for the Vols... or at least away game weekends. It's just not polite to make guests choose between going to the game or the wedding.

We got hitched in Kingsport on an open date in September

The Bowl predictions I've seen on line has the Vols against the Hokies in the Chic-Fillet Bowl. That sould be a real barn-burner.

If thats true, I'm sure you and I will be chatting again.

I still think they should put us against each other at Bristol Motor Speedway to get the largest football attendance record. I'd be there

Gotta believe the Hokies pull off an impressive win today.

My pick:
Va Tech: 30
Virginia: 12

I don't know, I'm watching the game. It has been all defense so far. The Hokies need to start playing some Beamer Ball on defense, because the offense is doing much. Not having Ore in this game is hurting the Hokies.

I have to go and cuss at the T.V. very loudly now.

17-0. That's more like Beamer ball, eh? Good win for the Hokies.

So what bowl game do you guys end up in now?

Re: Virginia - Va. Tech game

Ga.Techs loss today should put the Hokies ina solid 2nd place in the ACC, which should insure my boys a Gator Bowl bid, more than likely against WVU.
But I don't know, after the up set on the Mountain today, I'm still stunned. If WVU loses to Rutgers I'll have to throw all the left over turkey away to make room far all the crow I'll have to eat.
