The Virginia Tech men's and women's swimming and diving teams are both in fifth place after the first day of the Nike Cup Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., Thursday. The Hokies recorded nine NCAA "B" qualifying times between both the preliminary and final events. The Tech women currently have 169 points, while the men have 141 points. Re: Hokies at Nike Cup Invitational

You mean theres other sports at Va.Tech besides football?

Currently mens hoops 2-0, (with the exception of BC, all ACC mens B'ball teams are undefeated), womens team 2-2.

Ha ha! Well, in all seriousness, can't say I follow much collegiate swimming. But hey, we may be looking at some future Olympians here, right?

Re: Hokies at Nike Cup Invitational

I guess the Hokie swim/dive teams practice in some fish'n hole or cow pond in Blacksberg. Maybe they used all the bowl money earned by the football team to build a real "cement pond".

I look at the other sports headlines on the Hokies home page with a passing intrest just because their there.
